We’re traveling the country hosting lively discussions about the changes in the 2015 IECC as they relate to the building enclosure. Presenters Peter Yost and Steven Baczek, two of our industry’s top guns, are rubbing shoulders and speaking face-to-face with construction professionals on the topic of building enclosures and integrating material selections.

These discussions focus on how performance components of insulation, water management, air leakage, and HVAC relate to a whole as the building enclosure. Meeting the new code can be challenging, but there are opportunities available in meeting these challenges.

Peter Yost is the person you turn to if you want to truly understand how buildings work: their design, specification, construction, renovation, and performance assessment. He brings more than 30 years experience in building, researching, teaching, writing, and consulting on high-performance buildings. His expertise ranges from construction waste management and advanced framing to energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and building durability. Peter’s work includes his consulting firm, Building-Wright; Technical Director for the website, www.GreenBuildingAdvisor.com; Lecturer for Yale’s Graduate School of Forestry & Environmental Studies; and adjunct faculty for UMass-Amherst’s Building & Construction Technology program.
